The glorious long sandy beaches of the Atlantic coast are just 40 min's away, as is the delightful port of La Rochelle that boasts, probably, some of the best seafood restaurants around and is steeped in local history. This is an ideal centre for cycling, walking, horse riding, fishing, bird watching, sailing, boating, something for families of all ages. There are a number of very high quality golf courses built to competition standard less than 1 hour away.
The cottage and gite are available separately off season and for longer lets. Well behaved pets are welcome and the owner can recommend a vet experienced in the requirements for your return to the UK with animals.
