Rural detached property sleeping 6 in 3 bedrooms located a few kilometers from St Hilaire de Voust and near Fontenay le Comte. Situated in the Vendee (85) region of Western France with the Atlantic on its Western Coast, La Rochelle to the South and Nantes, the Loire valley and Brittany to the North.

The kitchen. Kitchen diner with table and chairs seating for 6, it has a fridge, microwave, Coffee maker, Toaster and is well equipped with Pots, pans and cutlery.
The living area. The lounge has 2 comfortable sofas, Hifi unit, open fire place and French windows leading to the rear garden, plus French windows that open onto the front patio area.
Bedrooms. The master bedroom is on the 1st floor with a kingsize bed, double wardrobe and bedside units, there is 1 twin room on this floor which has bedside table and a drawer unit. On the ground floor there is a good size twin room with drawer units and looks out onto the hills and meadows of the local countryside, this room also has a door which leads directly into the rear garden.
Bathroom and Toilets.The bathroom is located on the ground floor and has a shower cubicle, double vanity unity it also has a corner bath and a shower attachment. The toilet is located in this room with a dividing wall.
Garden and outdoor facilities. The house is in a small hamlet and the enclosed gardens are not overlooked, it is a private garden surrounded by mature Laurel hedging; there is sufficient garden furniture and sun loungers. A good sized fixed BBq. The Pool is 7m x 4m and has solar panel heating units; it is surrounded by wooden decking and has stunning views of the rolling rural landscape, the best place to pass many hours in the sun along with the odd glass of wine.
Miscellaneous. Nearest Airports La Rochelle, Poitiers & Nantes are served by most of the low cost airlines and car hire is available. Many of the villages and towns have regular weekly markets where you can sample a wealth of local produce, freshly caught fish and a variety of shell fish.
Location. The Vendee region of France has long been a popular holiday destination due to the Mediterranean like micro-climate, the property is located near the Vouvant-Mervent forest on the borders of the Vendee and the Deux-Sevres. You have the pretty villages of Mervent and Vouvant nestled in the large surrounding forest and is crisscrossed with well marked routes for walking and cycling.
Activities. From here you will be well placed to a variety of places to visit, probably the most impressive being the Le Puy du Fou and Futuroscope guaranteed to keep both children and adults entertained !
A number of very high class competition standard golf courses are within an hours drive. Cycling, sailing, fishing, horse riding and go-karting all available nearby.
