The kitchen. A modern well equipped kitchen with full sized oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster coffee maker and things you would expect to find to make your stay easy and is well equipped with cutlery, pots pans etc. The kitchen doors lead onto the large terrace and pool area.

Living area. In the light and spacious lounge area there is a comfortable sofa and 2 armchairs and UK Sat TV, with a dining area with seating for 4. A large double French window overlooks the front garden with a south facing small veranda.

Bedrooms. 2 good sized bedrooms, 1 double room and 1 twin room with a cot for a baby, The twin bedroom also has a french door leading on to private small terrace area with table and chairs for thoses early morning cups of coffee. Linen is provided but not towels.

Bathroom and Toilets. Large walk in shower, wash basin and vanity unit and toilet.

Garden and outdoor facilities. This property has a large terrace area with a large parasol/gezebo with table and chairs for those evening meals el-fresco! The swimming pool is heated and has a mandatory security cover.

Miscellaneous. Utility room with washing machine, iron, ironing board etc off road parking for 2 cars. The property has central heating.

Location. The area is only three hours drive from the port of St. Malo, 4.5 hours from Ouistream (Caen) and 5.5 hrs from Cherbourg]. Nearest Airports La Rochelle, Poitiers & Nantes are served by most of the low cost airlines and car hire is available from these airports.

Activities. 2 minutes walk from the house you are in open countryside, the area is a designated nature reserve and an ornithologists dream. The land around is relatively flat so is also ideal for a leisurly walk or cycle. Just 4 miles away are the glorious beaches at La Faute sur Mer and approx. 20 mins by car the equally popular seaside town of La Tranche sur mer. This coast line is excellent for windsurfing and board surfing as well as being safe and clean for spending the hot sunny days on the beach. La Rochelle has a pleasant sandy beach by Les Minimes Marina. Ile de Ré, accessible by car, is a haven for cyclists at any time of the year. 60km of cycle tracks wind their way between pine woods, vineyards, nature reserves and salt marshes. Small white washed cottages with green shutters line narrow streets brilliant with hollyhocks, the western coastline has many sandy beaches with calm shallow waters, the island hosts numerous oyster bed farms which sell direct to the public or you can enjoy the delights of St Martin de Ré. La Rochelle, Les Sables D'Olonne (home of Vendee globe sailing) and Fontenay le Comte are about 45 minutes drive. Puy du Fou, Futuroscope, Cognac are all easy day trips. There are beautiful gardens in Lucon, Court d'Aron, where they have a large lake covered with lotus flowers in July and August.

We absolutely loved your property - and will most likely book it again one day. The house was great, really nicely laid out, perfect for what we needed. The pool was great and didn't need heating (23-25 degrees each day) & the cover was easy to get on and off. The location and the surrounding area are absolutely beautiful. August 09
